Maxed on dead stop front squats.

90kg thats a PR for front squats dead stop or otherwise.

I'm pretty sure I could have hit 95 or 100 if it was from the top. I just couldn't get under it. I was using saw horses and the bar was sliding around.

Yesterday I felt like absolute crap the entire day (poor night's sleep I think was most of it), seriously considered giving the gym a miss severl times during the day. Decided that I'd go anyway and managed to hit my first heavy set, but my form was off. I was drifting to the right and felt weak and slow, decided dicretion was the better part of valor and cut out the remaining three sets at that weight. A bit of a disapointment, but I hit a new max set of five.

152.5 (335) x5

Long time no post from the Blonde one, but here's some squat-tastic training, as copied from my log:

07/15: Getting back under the bar, Heavy Squat

Yeah, so I was completely burned out from lifting, and BOY was I cranky. Overtrained? Possibly. So I took about a week off from lifting, eat some YUM-TASTIC cheeseburgers, and had a *fantastic* heavy squat day.

briefs on:

95 x 5
135 x 3
185 x 3

suit bottoms on:

225 x 1

straps up, knees wrapped:

255 x 1
275 x 1
315 x 1
360 x 1 LIKE A FUCKING ROCKET. KA-BOOM.

I see 405 *soon*. 360 felt so good, I could have done a double with it. But it was ME Squat day, so no doubles.

The best part about tonight was that I was tight and kept my air so well, I think that I have burst some blood vessels in my neck. Bad ass.

In other news, I might have an invitation to Amateur WPC Worlds coming up on August 1-3 right here in Willowbrook, IL. Whether I'd be 181s or 198s I don't know... I guess wherever there's room for me, I'll go. There are only 3 lifters allowed per weight class per country. This could be pretty awesome... going from my 1st meet to lifting in the Amateur Worlds in under a year. I'll keep ya all posted

On Monday got a new 5 rep PR of 110kg (242lbs) and on wednesday did 4 sets with the same weight.
How is everyone getting along in the pursuit of a new max anyone testing soon?
