Thanks all, happy with Sunday's session. Starting my switching week on wednesday, going to do a bunch of push presses, front squats and db lunges. Nice, light and speedy.

Singlets make it easier to judge depth, required for all powerlifting meets (plus I've got the legs for it).

Back in the rack! Yesterday's session:
Warmup complex x 3
Squats - 155 x 5; 185 x 4; 205 x 3; 235 x 2; 260 x 9; 265 x 3x9.
Piece of cake. Back feels great, depth was better than good. 260 was scheduled, but it looked so goofy with the 45's next to a 10 and then two tiny (should be pink) plates, so I scrapped the little shit and threw another ten on. Witnesses say I drifted to my right in my later reps of the sets, which historically has lead to my back issue. Once I made a conscious effort to stay on both legs evenly things went better. Still back in the rack, pain free, and finishing out the first part of my smolov cycle. new max next week.

I also was having a problem not staying even on high rep sets. This made one knee hurt a little later on in the day.

What'd you do to fix it? I was actually told by somebody much stronger than me, to load up about 70% and do slow reps focusing on form... He said that would help but really maintaining focus on what you're doing while squatting is most important. I've gotten better at it though, it used to be every rep was like that. now it's just when fatigue begins to take over.

I stopped squatting with high reps.
Seriously though, I think what was happening in my case was that I was letting one knee buckle inwards causing uneven leg loading. Solution: concentrate on spreading the knees.

hmmm... hammered 117.5kg for 4 sets of 5. my legs were shot by the end of the 4th set so i dropped to 110 and hammered out 5 more reps. is it normal to feel sore on the inner thigh/quads during the squats cause i swear i haven't noticed it before.

Switching week, so no heavy squatting to report, some lightweight front squats, split squats and a bunch of push presses.

Wamrup complex
squats - 5 @ 165; 4 @ 195; 3 @ 225; 2 @ 250; 5x7 @ 280
Back felt a little stiff, but I'm pretty sure that was a result of a surface I slept on more so than squats.
