Wednesday, May 14th: Muay Thai

Can't be arsed to write a detailed report, but worked on blocking push kicks and roundhouses. Mixed blocking together with some kick combos and stuff. Finished up with punch-outs and kick-outs.

Thursday, May 15th

BW = 91.5 kg

Strict OHP
Failed to strict press 65 kg.

Deadlift
Started pulling singles, stopped at 155 kg because the weight just wasn't moving.

Did a chins/dips superset to salvage something from this clusterfuck.

Had nothing today. Hadn't been eating well at all the few previous days, it showed...

Fuck it.

Nice job on those PRs man.

Do you have any particular lifting goals in your mind that you are shooting for?

Monday, May 19th: Muay Thai

Warmed up with the usual jumping jacks, ping pong kicks, jab/cross blocking etc.

Went over the hook with both hands. The technique felt a bit awkward, will take some practice before it starts feeling natural.

Comboed the hook with some jabs and crosses.

Then did a bit of roundhouse kicking. My lead leg roundhouse to the body felt sloppy today, dunno why. Rear leg roundhouse was good. Oh well, as with everything, practice makes perfect.

Finished up with core work, push-ups and stretching.

Wednesday, May 21st: Muay Thai

Warmed up with laps around the gym, jumping jacks, the usual staff. Stretched a bit.

Today's focus was on different combos. Jab-rear roundhouse, cross-front roundhouse, jab-front hook-cross-rear teep...

Still having trouble with the hook, just doesn't feel natural. Also, after the cross I end up being to close to the opponent and stuffing my front roundhouse. Teep felt sort of sloppy at first today, haven't practised it in a while.

Oh well, practice, practice, practice.

Conditioning today was a breeze. Around 20 burpees and a long ass set of crunches, with some twisting ones thrown in.

Monday, May 26th: Muay Thai

Warmed up with jumping jacks, push-ups, crunches etc.

Much of today's class was spent working on fighting from the reversed stance. I really don't get the point in doing that, but then again, I guess it's good to able to do something should you ever end up in a situation like that. 'Twas good coordination work as well...

So, worked on a lot of the basic stuff, jabs, crosses, roundhouses, push kicks etc. Things felt a bit awkward at first, but got easier along the way. Not that I'll consider switching stances permanently, though

Then we worked on the low roundhouse in the regular stance. Comboed that with crosses and jabs.

Finished up with 10 burpees followed by a quick stretch.
