I just came back from the Jamaican place down the street. The girl working there looks like a hotter version of Rhiana.
I'm pretty sure I'll be going back there.

God I love hot black girls. That's one thing I'll miss in Colorado.

Although... I might be doing some different HD swapping and use the tower that's currently upstairs for the rec rig...

JL, I'd really consider using a tower. That mobo might be failing due to continuous heat from use. Just a guess. I've never seen one respond well to continuous use. Plus, a tower has so many more expansion options, if you need them- sound cards, drive bays, etc.

I was looking at the store, going to 2.7ghz, 800 FSB, 4 gigs 800mhz DDR2 and a new CPU fan would cost me $230. Would just need a nice large monitor and i would be set

That's pretty much what I figure. I got a lil USB powered fan that goes in the PCMCIA slot to try to help blow more cooler air over the thing, as well as made some sticks for it to sit up off the desk/table a bit.
Eventually, I'd like to have a dedicated tower for recording, for all the reasons you mentioned. The only thing with having a tower setup now is that I'll owe my neighbor money for his old tower (well, case, mobo, processor, and RAM; which will be my main tower) as I swap pieces between the others...

No sh**? Well, after I find gainful employment, there might be more computer upgrading going on... I think the parents' computer is fine as it is for now.
