His character is awesome. Funny, a bad ass, and quite intelligent for a hood rat.

I'm the same way to an extent...if someone told me that I could snap my fingers and wake up tomorrow with a 500 pound squat and a 600 pound deadlift, I don't think I'd do it.

I'd like to be able to put in all the work that it takes, just condense all of that work that it takes to get there, into a month. If it would get me to those goals quicker, I'd squat for 12 hours a day, every day, non-stop. But such is not the case. You have to wait, and recover, and make tiny increases and only push yourself so hard if you ever want to improve. That's the bitch.

Yeah, both the journey and the destination are important. I do love the discipline and putting in the work. I wake up at 5 AM to lift before school. My friends think I'm crazy. But knowing that I can do anything I set my mind to gives me certain kind of confidence that I think sadly, most people will never be able have. That's a shame, because it's a wonderful feeling.

In a way, time seems to move faster as you get older, and I wish I could show you how short a year is to me.

I'm only 19 and my life still seems to go by fast. "The days are long but the years are short".
