Sylvia becoming a three-time HW champ isn't a sure thing. I think he'll get past Vera next weekend, but I never got the impression that Zuffa regarded him as particularly marketable, and they'll probably give him some solid opposition for the vacant title: Big Nog if he can get an impressive win in the Octagon, maybe even if he can't. Throw Filipovic in there as-is, poor UFC record be damned. It's still a dismal prospect.
I think it's probably too late for Zuffa to just declare Vera/Sylvia next weekend as a championship match for the vacant title. I hope.
