Starwood is, on the surface, a Pagan festival. In reality, it is a two week party with every felon and revolutionary on the East coast and far beyoind. It boasts the biggest all-wood bonfire in the states. Think of two weeks of Spring break w/ 1000+ girls running around that believe in "free love" and practice Tantra, alchohol flowing 24/7, tribal drums, bellydancers, firebreathers, etc. __________________

Suprisringly enough, I've yet to get one, or even run into someone who's gotten one, at one of these events. I'm sure its happened, but its actually much safer than you'd think. The only instance that I've personally encountered was a girl that said, straight up "Just so you know, I've got HPV. I haven't had an outbreak in 7 years; but I feel that I need to tell you." I was drunk enough to not care, but she wouldn't go for it. "If we lived closer, perhaps." she said.
Ask the locals/ regulars. They'll point out who is safe/ who isn't if it is well known.
The only thing I've ever gotten from a festival hookup is Strep throat. __________________
