It was before WW2, there was alot of attacks around the world on smaller nations which successfully challenged the power/authority of the League of Nations and gave Hitler the confidence to start invading shit.

It was a land grab basically because the Italians felt short-changed after WW1. So they wanted part of Africa like the rest of Europe. Oil was not found there till after WW2 __________________
