Man I have some serious mental issues I think. Two weeks ago I set a PR for DL and I was strutting around like a god. After missing my 405 DL two days ago I am having a crisis of confidence in my form and rereading all the articles on deadlifting...

Is being able to add 39.94 + 2056.87 in your head easy or is that just me being azn?

I have a bunch of these rec additions that need to be made and my boss asked me where my calculator was and I told him it was just simple addition so I was doing it in my head. So he freaks out and checks all of my calculations with his calculator and seemed somewhat flabergasted that there were no mistakes, almost like I Rain Man'd that shit or something.

People don't learn how to calculate in elementary school because it takes discipline, thus later in life they think everyone has to rely on calculators to do simple shit when really it's faster to do it in your head.

I might use paper and pen to check myself, but everyone should know how to do that in their head.

Some of that makes sense, but being more comfortable with an iron than a car isn't shocking. Cars have a lot more shit in them (computers) than they used to. I can change my oil and tires (they said 10% can't change a tire, that is pathetic), but it is far easier to know how to do a little ironing than know what the fuck is wrong with my car.

I can do that in my head but its not faster than a calculator. Calculator does it instantly, what takes time is the button input.

What a load of crap. There's nothing un-masculine about cooking or cleaning. And people may not know how to change a tire, but I'm certain many know how to swap a hard drive.

"Young men are so in touch with their emotions, a whopping 85 per cent are comfortable crying in front of others." You've gotta be shitting me. A man should only cry when it is allowable such as when he receives his child, at the end of Rudy, etc.

I can see that men can't work on cars now. Stuff was a lot easier when there wasn't smog equipment, computers, and fuel injection.

I'm sure it will only get worse as time goes on. Divorce is becoming more prevelant which means that kids (usually) spend more time with their mother than their father.

I can do addition like that faster in my head than a calculator.

Subtraction on the other hand is more difficult.
