Buffalo Trace Bourbon is not as smooth as Woodford reserve. You feel the bite quicker. It hits your tongue instead of waiting for the back of your throat like Woodford does. The first thing you notice in the after taste is wood and it takes its sweet time to fade.
Verdict: It's on par with Jim Beam Black, but Buffalo Trace is about 4 dollars more... which is equal to a gallon of gas. So in my opinion, save 4 bucks and get JB black, or spend 14 more and get Woodford. Buffalo Trace ain't bad, but it won't change your life.
