Damnit, I wanted to post an 'inspire Smashius to deadlifting glory' thread in preparation for tonight's lifting session (first heavy session post-surgery on the DL), but the dog won't let me open new threads. Now I've got to go to work.

This sucks, Smash out.

However, one of the custom shops I was looking at is based right here in Vancouver.
I went to look at some 4 string acoustic electrics today, found one I could tolerate for about 500 dollars, can't imagine what a custom 6 string would run, or feel like... that's some serious reinforcement to cope with that kind of tension. what I did find is there's a lot less consistency in acoustics from bass to bass than in straight electrics. Two of the exact same low end models buzzed in different places and had slightly different tone. You really get what you pay for and even then I think it pays to play before you make the purchase. one of the higher end models had a loose bridgepiece, sure it's an easy enough fix, but if that kind of buzzing is going to get past the inspectors who knows what else they can miss! on solid body electrics I think there's a lot less voodoo and a lot more consistency.

tatted indie rock coffee shop chick REALLY dug this btw, and I'm actually kind of proud of this little blurb.

Oddly enough, it seems to be a forum appointed title, not one I assigned.

nope, sent it via text, cause I'm romantic like that.

It's kind of a pertinent concept for me lately, I feel like I've begun to slow down too much, I need to get my ass in gear again in so many facets...
