I've been recovering like crazy- can lift every other day, heavy- and I'm torn between continuing to lift like this, or go back to twice-a-week lifts like I was. For some reason, the past couple weeks, I can lift as hard as I want, and 48 hrs later I'm ready to go again.
I feel if I took a week off, I could DL 495 for a new PR next weekend. But I don't want to take a week off. I need to fight the urge to PR all the time.
And, now, I'm in a shrug contest with Standard, and I'm starting off behind as it is- he's stronger than me- race to shrug 405x100.

Hunto - run with it. For some reason, all the stars align at times and you can set PRs every time out it seems like. Do it till its not working anymore, then deload, and start over with higher reps.

What was great about Pride, in my opinion, was that it came from a country where MMA is BIG. I thought about it a while, why I didn't like the UFC as much, and aside from the stupid girl they hire to scream every 8 seconds, I realized it's like going to Europe and watching football (American football). Its almost the same game, but its nowhere near as big there as it is here. I can only imagine the atmosphere at a Monday Night Football game in Dallas, or Denver, or Green Bay (yeah, I know, moved to Sun.)
When a Pride started in front of 50k in the Tokyo dome or Saitama Super arena, its bigger somehow. UFC still has an air of Toughman about it. In my very humble opinion.
