My Judo teacher is Irish (actually his wife is, but whatever, they spend a lot of time in Ireland). We hit the bar one night and I ordered a Guinness Stout and so did he. He stopped the bartender as she was pouring the beer. He had her fill the glass up halfway, let the foam settle for like a minute, and then fill it up the rest of the way.
Whatever. I guess that's the proper way to do it. I kind of like all the foam myself.

I remember reading somewhere a Guiness should take exactly 121 seconds or something to poor right.
Might be bullshit though.

I spent half the trip in that place. It was right down the street from my hotel so I just kept walking back to my room to refill the flask. The had some GREAT cover bands, and I don't even like cover bands.
