Knees to the head are good but they favor top position grapplers (Wrestlers/Judokas) and those guys already have alot of advantages in the cage.

Knees to the head disadvantage wrestlers who shoot in and sit there, though. They make matches more exciting and cause movement. Despite the "talk" that they might get back in, I have a feeling it is more talk than anything right now and it will be a while before they are legal in major competition in the US.

I meant knees to the head a downed opponent, not knees to the head in general.

I wouldnt call a 10oz glove a 'pillow'.

I thought the same thing before I started sparring. Now I think 8-10s are fucking small.

Me too. For example, Travis Lutter. How many times did he shoot in and just lay there holding Rich's knee? How much sooner would that fight have been over if Rich could have pushed him down and kneed him in the head?

Correct, Standard, knee and kicks to the body of a downed opponent are still there.

I like the 'soccer' kicks to the head I think if you are face down on the mat and your opponent is standing youve probably already lost anyway. They do look brutal though, same with stomps.

I've always been in favour or removing as many rules as possible and keeping the sport in a sense more pure combat and less it's own form of martial arts. As long as it does not pose a great risk to the athletes it should be allowed. I think knees should be allowed to a downed opponent as punishment for failed takedowns, currently they face little risk when going for what could be a crucial move. it was also make a down opponent kicking the head of another downed opponent legal, if someone is trying to put you in an ankle lock kicking them in the face is a natural movement, but is not legal. The only thing i would like to see taken away are the pointed elbows to the top of the skull when a guy is in his opponents guard. The entire 12 to 6 thing is stupid, you are striking a dangerous area with the hard pointed part of your eblow, if that happens horizontal or vertical the result remains the same

Yeh elbows should be to face only, no strikes to the top or back of the head.
