You know what is worse than Missus missing (sorry) the wedding?
My friend from college is marrying this spoiled rich chick (she isn't too bad from what I could tell, but her parents are ridiculous). The parents are making him have the wedding reception at some fucking country club so 90% of his friends aren't going to be able to come because they can't afford it.
I hate middle class people that think they are rich. I grew in a suburb full of these people that probably barely made six figures and thought they were of some different breed. At least be a millionaire if you are going to treat people like shit. C'mon.

They crack me up. My wife teaches a couple in one class, they're 7th graders, and she says they have the cholita thing down pat. All the above mentioned characteristics, plus the accent- the sing-songy lilt from being native Spanish speakers, with Latino inflection, that cracks us up so much when it's affected like that.
