I absolutely can NOT figure out the front squat. There's a younger guy at my gym that trained them in both wrestling and football, so I've been waiting to catch him so he can coach me through it, but no matter what I do I feel like a cerebral paulsey case every time I try to learn them on my own...
I had a couple knowledgable coaches put me through squat, deadlift, and clean (which I still struggle with), and they all make sense, but for some reason the front remains elusive...

This is basically nearing the end of the euro shift and transfering to alantic and central time zones.

It's just a back squat with a clean grip and the bar on your clavicles instead of your traps (or lats if you do PL squats).

I had the same problem until Dan John gave me an epiphany one day. Forget everything you know about sitting back blah blah with the back squat. Rather than thinking of sitting back, think of sitting down. Literally think of dropping straight down between your legs. Thinking of it in this fashion took me from cerebral palsy boy to a pretty decent front squat form ASAP.

Yeah but keeping the weight stable is the issue, I don't know if I stand wrong or don't keep my back straight enough or what. It's freaky, I can back squat and dead fine.
