What do you call cents in the UK?

One Pound Fourty Pence (p)

If its just 1p theyre called pennies.

1p and 2p coins are called 'coppers'.

1p, 2p and sometimes 5p is also called 'shrapnel', maybe 10p too if youre rich.

Do you only call it quid if you are referring to just pounds then? Like 10 quid. You wouldn't say 10 quid 5 pence?

No one says 10 quid really, its 'a tenner'. Quid to me sounds weird unless its like 2 or 3 pound. Anything more you should just say "x pounds"

No one says x quid x pence its x pound fifty or x pound thirtyfive etc.

Yeh like:

"All drinks are 2 quid on sundays."

or

"Lend me a quid I forgot my wallet at home."

You'd say '50 quid' and '1000 quid'. It's basically if there's no other expression to use.
