Louis Cyr, he was a groundbreaker. Or Carl Moerke.
No one said he was a model of S&P. But you forget that before him, it was verbotten for martial artists to lift weights. He broke that (and many other) mold(s).

I completely agree that he isn't some revolutionary idol or someone the S&P should endorse. But he did do a lot that we probably could never do, even though it's as "worthless" as making it in the movies. He was also ripped as hell and from what I can remember from a documentary on him a lot of bodybuilders during that time really espoused to attain a similar physique and used some of his training methods.

Obviously we're not bodybuilders or trying to make it in the movies, but I think it's fair to say that he was a hard worker and did things differently from the norm and had success with his approach. Both of which are respectable imo.

Boxers lifted weights wayyyyyy before BL. You act like he broke ground or something.
If you mean TCM, then ok whatever. They needed catching up. If he lifted weights BFD. I still don't get the big deal about him.

Tell me about it. Some people can get really riled over the internet.

Can we go back to talking about Woogies many sexual encounters and my incredibly uninteresting life?
