Ugh. P4 3 ghz with an x300se. It's a Dell and I hate myself for having it. My old one died and I needed a new comp mid semester. I didn't have the time to put one together, sadly. But now, I can't wait.

I like my Opteron 165. I paid $300 when it first came out. Now they're under $100. That how it goes though.

I've never really pushed it. Stock it's 1.8ghz and I've got it running at 2.6 as stock voltage. Prime95 stable for over 24 hours.
SuperPi time of 31 sec.
Bumped the voltage up a notch and OC'd to 2.7 once just to get 30 sec. superpi. I don't really see the need to push your CPU to it's limits for everyday use.
I don't think I've turned my computer off in months.

I don't plan to OC it to the max. I've just always wanted to try it and never played around before. I'm hoping to get 3.0 GHz at stock voltage, but if not, I'm not going to push it.
