This is hugely important to me. I haven't had money for supps lately, and I haven't really been training hard, but even if I don't have a a PWO drink I still eat food in a 2:1 carb to protien ratio immediately post workout, and it's a great time to cram in those starches everyone craves (potatoes, pasta, white bread, etc.) if you feel like cooking that is.
