2 - i'm not really in that competitive mindset, although sometimes i'll still have the dreams of winning and kicking butt. but i'm not all competition mode, impose myw ill, work a gampelan, type thinking

3 - there is always some pressure for me to start kicking ass at tourney's, as i've competed at everyone except one that has taken place since i started training. people always say i'll do well too, so i'll compete anyways but won't really have my heart in it.

4 - feel like i could be working on developing my athleticism and skill instead of having to worry about always training hard

5 - i haven't been doing well in compettion because of lack of said athleticism, i'm always in a blown up division, so i just get smashed and have to play guard/bottom forever and ever.

6 - i think i have confidence issues. sometimes i feel like i can slay anyone, and i will. ohter times if eel like i'll get mowed, so i do. i think not competing for a while would just let me buidl up my jits, have fun, and in the process get mroe confident.
I need insight. above are reasons i feel like taking time off from competitive jiujitsu for a while... share insight

The last 3 are good reasons to take some time off and focus on other things. The first 3 are more about mindset, you gotta have fun with it otherwise you're not going to do well. I know plenty of BJJ guys that don't compete very often most of them are pretty good they just don't thrive in that competition environement.

I kind of think the actual quote is "What's calculus?" from SnD. Do I win? I could use a gold star.

The only I can tell you Kaboom is that absolutely everyone needs some time off from competing. I think most times they wind up refreshed and coming back to competition more determined and motivated than ever before. Don't be afraid to just train and learn for a bit.

Just compete. Youre young you can afford to fuck up and make mistakes its not like youre 90 and this is your last tournament ever.
