I've noticed that cooking seems to even things out, but raw I can really taste the bitterness in the florets. I usualy take a bite of the florets and then a bite of the stem and chew together. I don't think I could just eat the florets raw.

Maybe a quick steam would help...

I've see broccoli coleslaw at the grocery store, i've been meaning to try it. I only really like coleslaw with bbq meats or with fresh haddock. maybe I'll get hooked this summer
