SO, a local nightclub here is having there first cage fight show. Out of the 8 fights they THOUGHT they had, they're now down to 4. They're offering $1000 to anyone with some experience to fight. I haven't trained in about 6 weeks (my school closed) and never done MMA, esp with elbows or anything, and never done ANYTHING close to 3x5min rounds.
I doubt I'll do it, but just thought I'd see what y'all thought

Well, I just finished talking to the bouncer from there (he works out at my gym and does ju-jits with some of the other fighters) and it seems that theres 10 fights, from what he knows.
I think it's all a lot of rumors and shit right now. Until I talk to someone from the commission or the bars owners, I'm going to go under the assumption that they're not desperate for fighters.
Plus I'm no where close to fighting shape. Good shape, but not excellent. I'd hate to lose by gas tank in front of my hometown crowd.
And he's also saying it's just the Main Event that's $1000, everyone else gets $300 or something.

I'd do it. And I haven't started training yet.
Then again I don't have gloves, wraps, or shorts, so probably not.

I've been hit in the teeth enough times to know it sucks. Even wrestling competitively seems like a pipe dream at this point. I can't even imagine walking into a cage.
Spectating is a lot more fun and you don't have to be sober.
