using the computer makes my neck unpleasant. its a shame i have to do papers. maybe i should try elevating my monitor or something.

From what I've found no matter where you stick a monitor, or awesome your chair is, sitting for long periods of time staring at a screen just isn't good for posture. Every 15 minutes get up walk around for 60 seconds and do some neck rolls. This also helps curb the deteriorating effect the screen will have on vision.

Exactly. Sitting behind a computer all day will make you old before your time. I can tell you right now that I wasn't built for this shit. You put me on an airplane in 110 degree heat, exposed to fuel/hydro/MEK vapors and I thrive. Put me in a chair and I wilt like roses in a shithouse.
