Yeah the recent "horror" movies are trash. They're more cut as many people up as you can in an hour and 40 minutes. Minus plot, theme, or likable characters without even a hint of storyline.

I never liked the dune books. Cormac Mccarthy is the shit. I want to read "No country for old men" next

Each chapter is an essay by different philosophers. One chapter my explore religious pluralism, another one might relate the movie to Marxism, another might look at it from an existentialist or post-modern point of view. The one from Immanuel Kant are fucking awesome.

There's a bunch of them, like "The D'OH of Homer" which is the Simpson's, theres a Star Wars one, Lord of the Rings and few others. I've never read them all, but I've heard good things about them
