Not all of us are brain washed, thats retarded logic Magic. I actually read heavy shit and am pretty logical about things, I just choose NOT to discuss religion online in this setting. Very bad idea.

True. But how many agnostics or atheists have truly studied evolution? I mean, I consider myself more well-read than most people walking around, but its not like Ive studied every religion, nor have I studied evolution in much depth.

Have you researched many other religions? In detail mind you, not just reading a paragraph off of wikipedia. If you don't care to discuss it, that's fine and I'll end it with you.

I'm not saying you have to be a scholar on all religions and evolution to make a choice. Only that you shouldn't blindly follow what was taught to you.

Oh yeah, most religious AND non-religious fit that mold. Its not like the majority of non-religious people are more studied and scholarly than religious types. Almost everyone on earth is a dumbass, religious or non-religious.
Magic, have I studied in depth? No. Have I gone over some of the fundamentals? Yes. It's a test of my faith I believe, and it strengthens my own beliefs and faith. So it's something Ill be doing more of in the future. Have you studied religions in depth?

The only thing that makes a difference between atheists ad theists IMO, is that if you are a Christian (or muslim, or Jew, or whatever) you are subscribing to a set of beliefs or views on what is correct. An atheist isnt doing that. If youre atheist, thats not a set of beliefs, its just a lack of beliefs. As an atheist, Im not telling people that if they dont believe in what I say, they are going to burn in Hell. Because theists ARE doing that, and they ARE putting their faith in a et of beliefs, I think the burden of proof is higher for them.
As an atheist, I can tell you right now that I have no idea what happens when we die. Im guessing nothing, but I really dont know. If Bamai is tellng me that he DOES know what will happen, I think he has a greater responsibility to research it and make sure that he believes what he is telling people.

Im not telling you what will happen, Im telling you what I believe will happen. Big difference.
Does that mean I don't have total faith in what will happen? No, I do. But I won't tell you what is going to happen. I know of the great commission and such, but Sherdog is not the way to reach people.

I've studied a few of the major ones and some lesser knowns. After that I became an atheist and later on became a psycho and created my own. Which imo is just as valid as any other.
IMO it's basically pick your poison. Because to me, in the end it doesn't really matter anyway.
