Cast Iron Skillet on your stove set to as high it'll get. That, or stick it in the oven with the temp set to 500 deg or broil.
Rib-Eye steak, ~1.5" thick, salt both sides, let sit for a few minutes, then pepper on both sides. Place steak on the skillet, 30 seconds, flip, 30 seconds. Now, place it in the oven, wait 2 minutes, take it out, flip, and place back in the oven for another 2 minutes. Take it out, let it sit and juices to redistribute, enjoy.
