Yeah it definitley sucks ass.

I think for the lat year my main rompin ground has been a local bar. Big Star. Its supposed to be a country place, but its really not. Cheap ass drinks, tons of seating, alright dance floor, anda mechanical bull that always ends up with topless chicks on it.

For power output I'd go with a 1:3 or 1:2 sprint:run ratio. For improving lactate threshold and anaerobic conditioning I say stick with 1:1, 2:1 or even 3:1.

Ever try stacking tabata intervals?

Do one full tabata workout, 8x20 second sprints w/10 sec rest
Rest 1-2 minutes
Repeat
Rest 1-2 minutes
Repeat

Good for MMA.

I actually went to Au Bar with a bunch of old highschool buddies which made it even more depressing. The same old clique with the same jokes and all of them drunk after 3 beers.

Stacking Tabata intervals sounds tough as hell. I may try that.

So how long do you do HIIT for? Until near failure?

Im gonna use the 1:1.

Im gonna use the 1:1.
I usually set a time limit and just keep doing intervals until time is up. I mix up the intensities though. Some intervals I might gradually build up the speed and then really max out at the end for a few seconds. Others I'll go 100% right off the bat and try to keep going as hard as I can throughout the sprint.

Is 10 minutes a long enough time limit, with Im thinking 15/15 or 30/30?
