Shot 60 rounds through my AK today, very nice. No malfunctions of course. Groups were probably 4.5 inch at 100 yards standing, but thats probably caused more by my ineptitude than the gun.

The only major thing I realized was that I need more ammo. ALOT more ammo. And a $5 sling.

I think everyone should be required to one arm lift. However I believe only Britain holds 'odd' lift contests. Which are my favorites. If I get strong enough I'll think about entering a strongman contest. Then again, how many have >200 weight classes? I'll need to approach 240 pounds to even find a contest god damnit.

Lots of ammo and lots of mags. Load the mags before going to the range. Storing your mags fully loaded will not do them any harm.

4.5" @ 100 yds is pretty damn good for an AK off the shoulder!

I had bought some new tighter fitting underwear a few weeks back. When I squatted with them for the first time, down in the hole, the material tightened up and it felt like one of my nuts had been inverted by the pressure.

At that point a dilemma came into my mind. Do I risk throwing out my back and retrieving the nut or continue with the set and risk losing the nut in my lower organs?

I haven't found it since.

Bama - This is one of the better deals that I know of right now for mags.

Too bad you missed out on the Sportsmans Guide mag lotto. They were used mags from a Sarajevo warehouse and weren't sorted through. If you bought a dozen they were like $7 each and sometimes there were some pretty rare mags mixed in. I bought 2 dozen and got on from the Bosnian War with a fleur de lis on it. Before these started turning up, they were going for around $120-$150, but are now worth around $80. But they'll go back up in value once everyone starts hoarding them again.
