Also, I can explain my love of Remy and Buakaw. I have an affinity for kickboxers that are considered elite without having superior boxing. This applies moreso to Remy than Buakaw, but still.

Rob Kaman taught kickboxing classes at our school for a bit. He brought along Brandon Vera. Vera brought along Lloyd Irvin, and that brought Ryan Hall, who actually helped me with some jits stuff.
Those were a few badass weeks.
