If you had white hair you might have passed for santa. Now you kind of look like the guy who wants to kick my ass for sneezing in his direction.

Funny you should mention that....

Taken at a festival the first year I was a firetender. We ended up making torches and raiding each campsite for booze.

Okay I withdraw the santa statement, unless it was at some sadistic christmas party.

And if I may be so bold... What prompted your change from fat guy to fit guy?

Shaving my head. As weird as it sounds, it broke a pattern that had been in place for my entire teenage life. When I shaved my head, a bit of identity went with it. It got me in to the mentality that things can change.
I did a lot of self evaluation/ cognitive therapy type of stuff, rejected Aristotlean philosophy, and decided that I was going to push my potential to the limit.

Best haircut of my life.

Hah! That reminds me of my recent haircut. I just got it shaved off and have the same mental attitude that you did. I create who I am and who I will become. Since then, it's been a reevaluation of myself and who I had become. Now I'm throwing out all the bullshit and molding the man I want to be.

The haircut seems to be a big part of it, for me. You're so use to seeing yourself being one way. Completing changing that image almost forces you to change yourself.

Yep. Same reason they do it in the military, priesthoods, etc. It is a definitive marking point between the "old" and the "new."

You should put a cape on him and market him as a superhero.

What type of priesthoods do they shave your head or alter your hair? I know monks shave theirs, or at least I think.

Dude...
Like teh Carnal said: I can't believe that's you.
You've made substantial, no in fact, phenomenal gains in your physical fitness and apparently in your mental outlook on life. Just amazing.

I dated a girl who shaved her head once just to kind of "start over" and let go of the past.
She was a pretty amazing person. She was the first woman to actually teach me how to have sex.
Like how to seriously have sex.
She had me reading the kama sutra, studying tantric and kundalini breathing and yoga positions and all this cool shit. I was in my mid 20's, her in her late 30's. It was great.
I dumped her when she one day turned into an outright Jesus freak. The weirdest thing. Happened overnight.
