I just got Flex Power from REI.
It works a lot better than Tiger Balm.

From my own experience (camping gear, mostly) REI is pricey stuff... the flashy, "designer" crap of the outdoorsy world. I couldn't begin to tell you if their climbing, biking or kayaking stuff is worth the money or not, but for basic "I'll be sleeping in the great wide open" kind of stuff, you're probably better off going to your local military surplus store.

I don't know. It depends on my second attempt, which will be a 2 pound PR. My third will be something between 525-535 pounds depending on how heavy the weight feels.
I guessing you will try put up 5 pounds more on Monday.

Military surplus stores don't have as many young cashiers to stalk.

Not quite that soon. I'm going to order some smaller knee sleeves first. Also, I'm not sure that I'd be able to hit 540 at the moment (depends on the knee sleeves). 526 might be doable.

Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay climbede Everest in 1953. This should give you a good idea of what you "need" when doing outdoors stuff.
