Probably a retarded question, and I have never tried this myself, wouldn't a thigh kick, superman punch be a doable combo? The thigh kick seems to lend it self to a superman punch, at least when I drill it. Ever try it?

Never tried it, but you want to usually go high low, and go from one side to the other. Like when I say that I mean like how a 1, 2 is left right. Cause after the downkick it would take too much time to generate power for the superman punch to be effective and you would be countered before you got it off.


However one thing I like to do is to keep downkicking, then bring my knee up like I'm going to downkick, and when they try to check you sweep their other leg, or hop into a right body/head kick.

And I understand what you mean about not caring about pro MMA anymore. I really don't care much for it either. The UFC sucks to me, and that's the only organization I can watch. The IFL and Bodog isn't on much and don't have the level of competition like the big boys do, etc.

And after a downkick, you really want to wing a real hard, tight hook because it usually catches them since they usually want to try and come in close after the kick. Plus they are focused on the strike from the low right, not high left.

Ah, so instead of thigh kick, superman you would want super, thigh kick. Makes sense.

Very nice, Im gonna have to drill this one when I go back Monday and see how it works out. My problem is flexibility, I can't kick someone my height in the head, so I'll aim for the liver.

Another great idea for me to set up a hook. My hooks suck (I can't seem to get in tight enough), so this is another thing Im gonna drill.

Nah you wouldn't want to throw that, a better choice would be superman punch, then uppercut, hook, cross downkick and get out or something similar since the superman punch gets you in close.

A superman punch then downkick would take too long. It'd be much faster to throw something better suited for where your hips are.
