My takedowns were pretty bad, I was sprawled on often and would often times try to take the back from sprawl. My closed and butterfly guard was solid, open guard was good but not where I wanted it. I was almost impossible to pass though, even for higher belts. The best part of my jitz was sweeps, mount, and knee ride. My subs were so so (struggled with join locks and manipulations, but were good with all chokes).

See I'm always throwing up triangles and armbars, my guard is real active and tough to pass. When it is passed I get it right back.

My guard is more like a stern warning. It doesn't stop anyone from doing anything, but it makes them stop and think for a second before passing.
