I have an older Kimber. It's a nice piece. It's probably a nice choice if you have issues with pulling correctly on a Sig style trigger. Do you get to choose your duty weapon?

Most quality firearms will group well if fired by an experienced user. Trigger mods generally improve the grouping also.

Did you find out what kind of shotguns you will be tested on? Most common police issue are the Remington 870, Mossberg 500, and Winchester 1300(although I think they are discontinued now).

no we get sig 226s on duty...we can choose are offduty weapons as long as we come to the range and show our proficiency/cert with them...

rem 870 is our shotgun....due to shortened range time we didnt shoot shotguns so we'll come back at a later date and shoot them...

went ahead and ordered ross's package of dvd, II, and NG...looking forward to it....also got his beanie...

his videos are insane...he's one intense sob in his conditioning videos...

-went with 3 buddies to local track

-400mg caffeine+60mg pseudo-e+b-complex+3 mg beta alanine

-1 1/4 mile jog warm up
-1 mile in 6:41....:::goes to off himself:::lol....fucking pathetic....windy today but no excuses...what a fucking joke...this is worse than i used to run before academy...
-100 meter sprint vs a buddy....he got a head start but I beat him handily by about 10 feet...i take a bit to start but then once i get going I am pretty fast...probably ran it in 12 sec or so...
-did 5 flights of stairs up and down with side shuffle between the sets of stairs on the stadium...
-practiced jumping against football pole...i got about 5-6 inches over my wrist over the poll...and whole hand with left...i am awkward jumping and reaching with left hand....then i did 2 foot jump...grabbed the fat bar and did 10 pull ups...7 strict and 3 with a bit of kipping....
-wanted to do some more stuff but other buddies were done...mostly just shot the breeze....talked about guns and mma...my friend is pissed at his gun cuz it fucked on him during a competition so he's letting me borrow the sig226...lol...perfect for me i guess...will go shooting with him on sunday maybe....he said he can mod the trigger and the spring so that there's barely any recoil with minimum effort....called other guys in class who said that eliminating recoil is impossible ...pretty stupid because guys at the competitions outfit their guns often for several grand with just about 0 recoil...
-wanted to do 100 burpee challenge today but I am moving it to tomorrow after deadlifts...i'll try the regular with a jump but no push up..see what time i'll get...hopefully under 10 min...

-went shooting with a friend today. he let me borrow his sig226. I shot about 160 rounds today at 10-25 yards.
-my buddy said my trigger control is good....my shots are grouping together but to the left which is more due to my left eye dominance and right hand shooting as well as posture then with trigger control. He said this is good and bad...he corrected the gun placement in my handa bit and squared up my posture more....I may need to try to learn to shoot left handed....it's only a little more awkward but I am more accurate....
-some asshole brought his winchester .50 revolver to the range...that thing was insane.....i was 5 lanes over and I could feel the sound waves my way....i went over to watch him...fucking crazy flash on each shot, 190 decibel sound, and wave of pressure outward....my buddy was pissed saying it's not cool...how it fucks up people who dont double up on ear protection...ie all the newbs including myself....saying it's poor range etiquette...I can understand why it's called the most powerful gun...i heard a desert eagle before and this thing completely pwns it...

-ate shitty for last few days. Today I had a small sandwich and a protein bar whole day....yea...

685-0 rep
-got it inch of the ground....had nothing...zippo...poor nutrition....poor creatine supplementation last couple weeks...added cardio...all added up...meh....i remember last time i tried 675 it flew up...probably had 700 that day...this time i doubt if i could even do 635-655...meh

Lying Leg Curl Machine:
140-10 reps

One Arm Chin Up attemps:
few sets of fraction ROM attempts then assist and negs......

15 easy muscle ups

Chins:
bw-15+0 reps...goal is 20...one of these days...

100 Burpees(with a jump) in 14:10 min
-I teh suck...

-talked and shot the breeze with old gym buddies...whole workout took about 120-130 min...

Bad day in the gym. You know I've been there . Eat some food and come back stronger next time.

If you don't mind me asking, isn't going from 585 to 685 a ridiculously huge jump?

Yea it was...i was being stupid. My camera also died midway through setting up on my 685 deadlift attempt.

On the bright side...I messed around with my 3.5 coc and was able to keep it almost closed after forced closing it with the help of my left hand...it came apart about 1/8 of an inch...about the best I have done...
