Thanks guys. Classic moment was when instructor asked if anyone can shoot 2 inch spread from 25 yards away for 18 rounds, standing, kneeling, weakside.....one ex-mil guy shoots up his hand(no pun intended)....and says yea....gets out on the range...gets 2/25 anywhere on the big torso/head target. We laughed about it for 4 days....he had trigger control issues which he partly solved by putting tape on his first knucle of trigger finger...I thought about doing the same thing as it was an issue for me also but since i was shooting 50s by this time i decided against it. I also thought it was pretty funny he was the only person who got to switch his hand grips to custom day before the qualification. But he's a special case all around for a few reasons.
Newt you're too funny but I am not Clint Eastwood. The .44 magnum would be a little to rediculous on me kind of like a desert eagle...on the other hand I could outfit desert eagle to fire the .44s...lol...
I liked my buddies Kimber

looked something like that...although he paid like 1200 for it he said....on a funny side he left his bag with the guncase containing that very gun when he left the range yesterday at the end of the day....I see a bag and go WTF? in the parking lot with almost everyone left or leaving....at least it was on a private SF.PD property but still...pretty boneheaded thing to do...
but back on point I think i'm getting this gun...it looks pretty sweet and its cost is close to the Sig .40 semi 226....
The guys at the range are very cool and said that eventhough you have to qualify twice a year and can practice 100 rounds once a month, we could call and try to set up where we can come a bit more often....like twice a month or something like that to practice......as he said shooting is a perishable skill............I would love to eventually get on the range as a staff down the line...the youngest guy there has 26 years on the job ..with a couple guys with 30 or more.....
