On your weak hand shooting, try canting your weak hand ~45 degrees (AKA: gangsta put a cap in yo ass style), place your weak foot forward (in essence stand facing perpendicular to your target), and placing your strong hand under your weak hand arm pit. This works better for me than trying to maintain a modified isosceles stance with one weak hand.

Newt thanks for the suggestions. One of my classmates also said something about the 45 degree tilt with left hand. I might give it a try in ourpractice run this morning to see if it helps. Yea I try to put my off hand in the armpit when shooting one handed at 7 yards with no sights ....but there's always like 1-2 rounds that get away from me...meh

Today is the gun cert in the evening so hopefully I can replicate my other practices.

-shot a high of 54/60 on practice run
-qualified with 53/60....only got out 17/18 rounds at the 25 yards because I was taking my time and was a second late firing last round...that bugged me a bit but oh well...consistantly shot about 14/18 in the black ont he 25 yards...
-definitely most fun in the academy....although I could feel my CNS being VERY tired after every day.....it's very draining it seems...

Don't feel bad - I've been doing this 13 years and still throw at least one round on every qual...and I have the best eyesight in my office .

Good job. Shooting is definitely a good time.

I hear you on it being draining. So much concentration is required and combine that with hot weather and dehydration and you've got a long day.

Thanks guys. I have been drained last few days and eventhough I wanted to do conditioning I never got to it so today I said fuck that shit and man up.

-330 mg caffeine+120mg pseudo-e+500mg aspirin+500mg tylenol+b-complex

-mile run in 6:05 min...flat/1-2 degree downhill some parts...light/mod wind behind me and high 50s/low 60s temp...ie damn near perfect weather for running imo...
-asian squats and break
Wanted to do 50 ultra burpees in 10 min challenge...
got 48 ultra burpees(push up, jump, chin up)....had about 10 sec left....i think if I timed it better I could have had the 50 burpees...but I am not too down on myself
-asian squats and long break
-100 hindu squats in 3:35 min
-100 sit ups(30,20,20,10,20) in 7:28 min
-75 push ups(50,10,5,5,2,2,1) in push up position the whole time....hoped to get 100 but oh well...gave up ...
-break/walked near lake and watched ducks...very good for stress...
-light walk back..

90 min workout in all...

-ate about 1 large pizza today with various topings....i had the freaking aftertaste as I worked out....not pleasant...I know I can run the mile in under 6 minutes now so this shit was a fluke...
