But for the record, it would take about 1 1/2 to get there from SF with no traffic and INSTENSE speeding, the location sucks.
Sounds like a pretty decent gym. When was he there? I had only heard of the Lion's Den, AKA, and his current Shamrock Martial Academy.

Your near-syncope problem could be from blood pooling in the legs from all those squats, causing blood/oxygen debt in the brain (I frequently feel light-headed from doing heavy squats myself) and/or locking your legs during your power cleans. This happened all the time in the Army when people locked their legs standing at attention. Have you ever actually lost consciousness and/or been knocked out?

Also, read this: **Heart Rate Recovery Study** and try the Asian Squat between all of your squats and power clean sets to see if that helps.

A little bit of both. Didn't get to see her MT skills, but she had VERY good pointers. Although the class was cardio based and I was fucking smoking everyone else even in my deconditioned state, while we were doing bag combos with her yelling at us, she ignored just about everyone else. People were gassing and it seemed like she didn't want to bother them, and she taught me that dirty boxing elbow where you push the face away and slice at the eardrum.

I don't remember when he opened it, but IIRC he long since left.
