well no offense... but I only push my deadlift hard occasionally... and I can do well above that for reps... you are, however, correct about my squat, it is awful. But I only started squatting correctly when I found this forum in February so I am trying :-/.
Well... tonight I got my 2nd degree blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do! I got through everything and broke my two bricks so I am pretty excited. My back was still a little tight from the pulled muscle in it so I may have to take some time off, but I made it through ok.

Trust me, I feel your pain on the whole new-to-deep-squats thing. I wasn't criticizing you or anything. I'm still working on my squat about a year after finding this place.
Cool stuff around 7:17 of that video. I obviously know nothing about TKD, what's with the sound effects and what was your instructor saying? Was he just counting or something? I couldn't make out the commands.

Thanks! Yeah my TKD instructor is heavily influenced by karate so it isn't what most would call "traditional" TKD. As for the sound affects... there are none, the only things you were hearing at 7:17 was the sounds of the bricks breaking, followed by my family cheering for me :-). Also, my instructor was counting in Korean (TKD is from S. Korea). Thanks for the comment.
Ohh ic... it is called a "Kiai"... basically a yell when you perform a move. It is used for a few things like putting energy into your strike, startling your opponent, exhaling (so as not to get the wind knocked out of you), etc.
