^^^Good? Dunno. It doesn't get me any more $$$ per hour but, it's required for work. FYI, it's like advanced CPR--what heart rhythm are they in, what drugs to push, to shock or not to shock, etc.

Thurs. 2/14 (2 days 'till comp.)

Snatch
50/3 x 2 sets
70/2
80/1
90/1 x 3 sets

Snatch Pulls
100/2 x 4 sets

Sat 2/16 Competition Day

Review
Generally pleased with my performance despite not achieving my goal of 6/6. It was a good meet to start back on.

Snatch
**Warm ups (approximately 3-5 minutes between sets)
bar work
50/3
50/2
70/2
70/1
80/1
90/1
95/1

**Lifts
100/1
105/1 (best feeling attempt)
110/1
One of the things I love most about a meet is how a snatch you thought felt so heavy a few weeks ago feels so easy and explosive on the platform. Felt like I could have smoked 130kg.

C&J
**Warm ups (5 min between sets)
70/3
70/2
90/1
90/1
100/1
110/1
120/1
130 for a pull

**Lifts
130/1
135/0 Missed the Jerk. Only drove about 1/2way up before trying to get under it.
135/1 Still didn't completely finish the drive out of the dip.

245kg total.

Thank you all. I would highly recommend attending or competing in one if possible. Like other non-traditional sports I've done you enthusiastically support the people you're competing against (highland games) and meet them afterwards for drinks (rugby).

Yes there is vid but, I'll be buggered if I know how to cut and splice the highlights. Recorded many lifters/lifts (not all of them worthy of posting to my youtube account). Suggestions welcome.

You know, it's times like right now when I wish I had a hot tub and a cold plunge at home.

Next possible meet is about mid May. That doesn't quite give me enough time to accomplish all I want in terms of GPP, hypertrophy, and increased pressing strength/shoulder joint integrity.
Probably lift anyway. Maybe use it as a training day.

I definetely plan to see some of the weightlifting at the Arnold. I've never got to see real live strong oly lifters doing their thing in person.
