Saturday
Got absolutely hammered. Played "Who can be the first one to the bottom of the bottle of jager?" I haven't been that drunk and stupid in years. Managed to stay out of jail somehow. Lesson learned: Drunk people should not have access to firearms!

Sunday
Was in a nauseous coma all day. Completely non-functional. Thought about running. Puked instead.

Today/ Monday
Felt great today.

5 Rounds
12:45

95lb Squat Cleans x10
Pullups x10

I tore the calluses on my right hand in round 4. Sucks big time, but I figured out a way to tape my hand so that I can use it. Anyone know of a good way to speed healing besides a lot of neosporin?

I went to practice after that and pretty much helped coach. My rib is still jacked up, and while I can do some stuff, a lot of grappling and striking aggravates the hell out of it. I'm a fucked up unit right now. Bum rib, bum knee, and a fucked up hand. Just gotta keep working around it.

I've done almost nothing since the 19th. My rib was healing up well, but that evening, I was doing some light/no contact sparring and got kicked directly on the injured rib. It wasn't thrown hard, and I normally wouldn't have even felt it, but it landed at the perfect angle to pop the rib out again. It put me out of comission for several minutes, and my rib was worse off than when initially injured. Since than, I haven't done much other than some running. I've also been insanely busy and barely able to even think about going to the gym. I did some sprints yesterday and tweaked my right hamstring down low and toward the outside of the leg. From now on, sprints require a 20min minimum warmup. Every time I've hurt my hamstring, it's been done while sprinting. Today I got inthe gym and my rib supported me enough to get some work in in the short period of time I had.

Overhead Press
95x10
135x5
155x5
175x3
185x1

Push Press
185x3
205x1

Handstand Holds
Just kicked up to a wall and than worked on freestanding holds. Best was about 10 seconds or so. Felt good.

Front and Back Wrestler's Bridges
3x10 superset

COC
#1 3x10

The last couple of weeks have been crazy. Moving, having to spend a few days out of town, packing for my trip to Germany, and of course actually leaving on the trip to Germany haven't left me a lot of time to work out. I got a littlw bit here and there, but until today the most that I've done is walk all over the place these first few days in Bonn. It's beautiful here, and I'm having a blast. Today, I went on a run alongside the Rheine River and than got a quick BW workout in afterward. I'm still looking for a place to hang my rings or at least do pullups.

Run 20min (not sure of distance)
Handstand Pushups:
4x5
30sec Hold
Ab Circuit
Knee Hugs x40
Russian Twists x 30
V-Ups x30
Plank x2min
Chinnies x40
Lying Leg Swings x20/dir
Toe Touch Crunch x50
Ankle Wiggles x50
Isometric-Backhold x1min
Alt Superman from PushUP position x20
Triangles x30
Knee Hugs x40

I got in an arm wrestling match with a Russian at the bar the other night and dominated him with both hands, but if my grip was a lot stronger, it wouldn't have been any sort of issue at all. It's given me the motivation to get back to serious grip work, so right now I'm just crushing my No1 for max reps throughout the day as it's the only gripper I brought. Got 15 with my left earlier and 30 with my right.

A New Chapter

I haven't been posting here, because I honestly haven't been doing much other than the occassional run and some pushups. With traveling in Germany and Greece I was focused on a lot else, like seeing the sights, drinking beer, and women. I'm back in the States now, and it's time to get back to work. I'm out of shape, as these first couple weeks are gonna be rough. I've also lost a TON of muscle and strength. I dropped from 217lbs to 202lbs and went from 11%BF to 13.5%, so that gives you an idea of where I'm working from. I've had a couple of workouts to assess where I'm at so far but nothing overly intense, and the results are frustrating. Today was my first real workout and it wasn't too bad...

Warmup 5 Rounds
Thruster: x10 @ 65#,75#, 85#, 95#, 105#
Situps: x20

Push Press: Work to 1RM
135x5
145x5
155x5
165x3
175x1
185x1
195x miss

6 Rounds 8min 18sec
Push Press 150lbs (80%) x3
Situps x20

It's good to be back. Had a great time, but I'm ready to get back to work.

My buddy talked me in to another workout this afternoon. It went much better than I expected.

As many rounds as possible in 20 min
Completed: 9 Rounds
50lb DB Swings x10
Front Squat 135lbs x10
Ring Dips x10

Off to a short practice in a bit.

Had a good grappling practice tonight. Moved well and found myself relaxed and just reacting to what was available. I rolled for about 20min straight with a couple of partners at the end of class. Actually wanted to puke about halfway through but pushed through it. Only way to get in better shape right? I can already feel my strength and conditioning coming back.

Post Practice:
Bench Press:
135x10
185x10
205x5
235x5
260x1

Some Row Machine:
Sets of 30, 25, and 15
It was there, so I did it. Whatever.

Ab Circuit:
Situps x50
Leg Raises x50
Cross Crunch x25/side
Triangles x25
Situps x25

My abs are smoked from this week already, so the circuit was rough.
