Thanks liquid. I've been doing them more frequently for about 2 months now, and they've really come along nicely. Hard to do anything higher than 5 reps, because it gets hard to breath with thepressure it puts on the core. I feel like they're helping me a lot in all aspects of my training.

Yesterday was a full day of training.

Noon Session:
Crossfit
6 rounds - 19:35

Clean and Jerk 155lbs x6
200m Run

4pm session:
Cleans: 185x4x3
Front squats:
225x5
275x3
275x1
Chinups:
BWx 20, 15, 8, 7

Evening Session:
MMA
Most of the class was spent doing a circuit with a lot of different stations. Stuff like ground and pound, bungee bear crawls, shadowboxing, etc. Time was about 45 min. Some stations were active rest while some were more intense than others.
After that, I sparred several rounds, went home, showered, watched a movie and passed out.

Morning
Wrestling- 1 hour
We worked on takedowns. One person on the mat, than the others would cycle through. Work for the takedown and establish control, than the next person would come in. After going with everyone, a new person would go on the mat.
On one of my takedown attempts, I got stuffed and when I tried to switch out, I got my neck stuck under my partner and it got cranked pretty hard. No one's fault, but I've been sore as hell and stiff-necked all day. I HATE hurting my neck or back.

Hey Stewy,
I'm thinking of starting Smolov next week. I was wondering, what did you do for warmups for the squats?

It sucked while doing them, but surprisingly, I recovered pretty quickly. While I was stiff last night, I didn't have a problem today. Thank God my legs have above average recovery ability.

Not too much man. Some BW squats, 5 or so with 135, and than a few singles of increasing weight before starting the work sets. I would also sit in the sauna for 5-10min before starting in order to get my core temp up.

Today was a mixed bag. While I felt great during my conditioning workout, I had to do it too close to my grappling session, and I was pretty much useless during it. The positive was that I had to rely completely on technique, because I didn't have the energy to do much at all. This will teach me to just get the hell out of bed in the morning so that I can recover through the day.

3 Rounds 10:36
20 Pullups (kipping)
20 Situps
20 Kettlebell Swings 55lbs
200m Run

Surprisingly, the situps were the toughest part once I got to round 2. It was almost impossible to breath during them. However, the swings were light and were sort of my rest during the circuit as I didn't have to work to hard to snap it up. I definitely love having other people to race. Now, I just need to start beating all of them.

Light recovery day.
Spent 30min or so working on O-lifting technique. Good for improving flexibility through full ROM and refining technique so that I can REALLY get the benefit form these lifts.

Tabata Squats:
Lowest score was 21.
Definitely felt like I could have done more, but tomorrow should be pretty rough, and I needed to recovery day.

Time:
8:54

28 Squats
28 Push ups
28 Box Jumps
28 Dumbbell Snatch 40lbs
28 Double Unders
28 Dumbbell Push-Press 20lbs
28 Lunges
28 Parallette-Pull-Thru

OK workout. The heavier weights were gone before I could grab them, so the snatches and push presses were way light. My double under skills are lacking, so that took me half of the workout to complete. However, this week was a long one with a lot of training. That combined with cutting weight had me absolutely drained tonight. Afterwards, I went to the gym to try and do some ME overhead work and some pullups, but it was pointless. 135lb OHP felt like a ton. Just gonna get some food, relax a bit and sleep, train MMA tomorrow morning and than I can rest until Monday.
