The belt is a good idea. I wnet and di the first day without it. On the second day, I got to the last few sets and realized I should probably put it on before I hurt myself. Once I decided to lift with it on all but warmup sets, I was fine.

Yesterday
Circuit with 25lb DBs. Time to complete: Unknown
Run 800m
15 DB Clean
Run 400m
30 DB Thrusters
Run 200m
45 DB Deadlifts

Today
MMA - Grappling
Good session where we worked on technique. During open mat, I felt great and transitioned smoothly in to everything. I didn't feel like I was using any energy despite spending most of my time rolling with a partner that outweighed me by about 30lbs.

Afterwards, I still had some energy so I quickly went and did this:
Clean 135x10
Clean and Jerk
135x6
185x3
185x3
205x1

Than I called it a day.

Grat workout today. Recovered quickly between sets and made progress on my lifts. Left the gym spent.

Decline bench Press: 2-3min rest
135x10
205x5
245x5
275x3
295x1

From here on out, all rest periods were 1-1.5min
Push Press:
165x3x3
175x2x3

Split Squat:
135x10
185x10
225x10
These were tougher than I thought they would be. Mostly it was getting mybody to figure out to stabilize itself during the movement. My set with 135 was actually tougher than my set with 225.

Bentover Row:
245x3x10

FINISHER
Row 500m

Time: 1min 37sec

The rower is brutal. I got off it and nearly fell due to my legs being jelly. I was on the verge of puking, but got my breathing back under control and than only felt mildly nauseous.

Well, I'm on vacation with my family here in Santa Fe. My brother lives out here, and we've been spending our time in the mountains and snow. No real formal workouts, just a lot of activity.
The other day, we went sledding on a pretty big hill. Every time I went down, I would run back up as fast as possible. I figured since there was a hill there, I'd take advantage of it Other than that a lot of hiking and such.

However, the place we're staying at does have a small weight room, so I got a workout in yesterday. Pretty decent actually, although I managed to weak my back a bit. Yesterday evening, I was pretty miserable, but a couple of vicadin fixed that, and today I am only mildly sore. Anyway, here's what I did:
Bench Press:
135x2x10
185x5
205x5
225x5
255x3
275x1
205x15

Bentover Row:
255x5x5

Clean and Jerk 135x30 - 5:52
This was a lot tougher than normal, due to the altitude. I came from just about sea level, and Santa Fe is about 6500ft, so I'm still adjusting.

7 Mile Hike
Load: 40lbs
Altitude: 11000ft
Start Time/Temp: 12:30pm/7*F
End Time/Temp: 7:00pm/2*F
Snow Depth: 36-72"

This was a long day but fun. The pace wasn't bad, and I was able to avoid sweating for the most part (very important in the cold), but at the end I was exhausted. The cold sucks the life out of you, and the altitude was pretty rough. Afterwards, I ate a ridiculous amount of food, and it took most of the night to warm up.

Power Hang Clean:
185x7x3

Front Squat:
225x2x8
245x2x8

SOHP:
135x4
135x6
135x5
135x6

Walking Lunges:
BWx30/leg

Good Morning:
135x3x10

Pretty good workout, but stabilizing the bar for front squats killed my wrists and elbows. I couldn't drive the bar on my OHPs, so I'll switch the order of those two next time.
