The beauty of driving a '77 Caprice Classic is all of the parts are dirt cheap and plentiful.
Easy as hell to work on too.

Hey bro, Just caught up on a bunch of your log, kick ass stuff as always! I really related with your talk of how you gotta go about this your way and I personally can vouch at least from an outside view of your accomplishments and the work you put in that following your gut has paid dividends and given me something to look up to. Not to mention you get to train with, spar with, and "shoot the shit" with those who at the top of the game and have or have had similar goals and dreams, and to top it off you got a world class trainer! if I weren't such a nice guy I'd be jealous! just kidding. Keep up all the great work man and as iterated before congrats on the completion of 1 year!

Google is great for fixing cars also. You can diagnose, buy the parts, and fix your car without knowing jack shit other than how to use google. I never realized how easy a lot of car stuff was. Pick-n-pulls are sweet also. Some senors for my car cost $200. Get em at a pick n pull for almost nothing. Starters, Radiators, etc etc. great deals. Had a guy replace the radiator and starter in my girlfriend maxima using parts from a wrecked infinit. Replaced both for $315 out the door.
It might be worth it for you to buy a different car Liu. Yours seems to break down a lot. I have a 94 Acura Integra with 235,xxx miles on it and in the past 7 years have only spent about $1200 on repairs. And $600 of that was from getting ripped off by a mechanic when i was 17. Only problems i have with it now are coolant leaks from old ass hoses.
If you could get a loan for $3,500 you could get a Honda Civic/Accord or Acura Integra with 150xxx-175xxx miles and it would more than likely break down almost never. 3K is a lot of money but it may save you money in repairs/heachachs in the longrun. Buy it from a person and not a dealership. Just have your mechanic check the CV boots, compression, etc. first.

It really doesn't break down a lot. Just seems a bit overplayed in my log I guess. My boss has a Jag that's been in the shop more, and Diego's Hyundai as well as the Toyota of our other roommate has been far worse off than my car.
It just always happens to break down when I'm strapped for cash.
Since purchasing the car for a song, I've put maybe $700 in it in a year, and any car for less than $3 g's is going to need shit like that.

$700 is a lot of cash to use for repairs in a year man. In the last three years ive only had to replace one radiator hose on my 94 integra that has 235,xxx. Not all cars for 3K will be crap, just american made ones. Not tryin to sell ya anything, just dont want you to have to worry about taking time off again. You're old man, you dont have time to waste!
Here is a couple good deals I found on craigslist. I would buy the white one if it was close to here. My car runs great, but at 235k ya never know. You wont hurt my feelings if you dont buy it.
1995 INTEGRA ACURA
1995 Acura Integra <===3k for 150,000mi = steal.
