Recovering Benchaholic

Been lurking here for a while. I was a bench monkey for about a year and a half and started deadlifting and squatting about 6 months ago after reading this forum.

Stats:
5'7 165lbs
Deadlift: 315 5RM, 345 1RM
Squat: 225x5x5, 265 2RM
Bench: 195x5x5, 230 3RM
3 Mile Run: 19 mins
With my busy schedule working and watching my kid. I have 2 routines I alternate whenever I get to the gym.

Workout 1
Squat 3X10
Deadlift 5X5
Push-Press 5X5
Pull-Ups, Dips, Upright Rows alternating to failure 3-5X

Workout 2
Squat 5X5
BB Lunges 10X5
Bench 5X5
BOR 5x5
DB Bench 3x10
DB Row 3x10

I also run about 5 miles once a week.

Welcome. Because you are taller than me I feel uncomfortable around you....

It's good to have you on the dog, I'm curious, why the high rep squats?

oops I'm 5'7, I wonder what a 6'7 165 lb dude would look like.

About the high rep squats. High weight low rep squats are too much for me before my deadlift.

Thanks for the welcomes.

Just finished a 5 mile run. Was gonna do some tire flips and burpees in the middle of it but didn't feel like it. Running is so much easier than circuit training.

13 Oct 2009

Squat:
165x5
225x3
215x5x4

BB Lunge:
135x10x3

Bench:
192.5x5x5 (My dumbass put a 2.5 instead of a 5 on once side and didn't notice it until I was taking the weights off the bar)

BOR:
165x5x4

Had to cut my workout short today and not do any DB's because I was running late for work. I won't be lifting for the rest of the week because I have a Combat Fitness Test on Friday. The first time I took the CFT I lifted the day before and totally sucked.
