To do it properly, you really have to do only two ME and two DE. You also can't to tons of heavy assistance on the ME day. I squatted heavy 3x since Monday and I could not DL worth a shit today. I like to lift heavy every time and it is hard for me to back off.

I'm glad I did the reverse band DL. It is easy to get off the floor, but hard to lock out. 475 was not very hard to lock out - hopefully it will help for the 495 challenge.

Fuck man, take it easy... don't hurt your self like some of us did. I am up for mid afternoon as long as I am back home by 5 to clean up for the chili and beer session. Stoney, you in?

I did max bench today.. hit 165 easy! woot.

Anyways friday afternoon is fine.

Do you mean 375? If not, you've made some crazy progress. Take the bands off and do 495!

Thanks - It was 475 (I was happier with my 405x6), but it was reverse band work. My last DL was PR was 435 back in May. I've had some back trouble, which has set me back a bit. I'm slowly building back my DL. I've done 405 for 6-7 singles my last few times DLing and some stuff around 430. My biggest problem is that I squat heavy too much and it kills my deads. I’ll try to do a max in the next couple weeks. I should be able to do 455 and then try for a bit more.

But 315 on teh bench is a different issue.......

It is reverse bands so they are helping him not, making it heavier



Enright where is your weakpoint in the DL? i thought you had trouble with the intital break

Enright where is your weakpoint in the DL? i thought you had trouble with the intital break

My biggest issue is the locking it out (and technique). My legs are way stronger on then my back (but the gap is getting smaller). I've done some speed work with bands also, which has helped a bit more.

I usually break 455+ off the ground, but then have trouble once it gets past my knees.

Cool band work should be great then, just remember if you stick at your knees you have to train where you lose speed which is well below your knees

Agreed. Speed deads with bands should help me the most. The reverse bands are ok if I use them once in a while.

So, what are you thinking for this friday? I was thinking about doing zerchers, but if you've got something else going on I'll do zercher DL's this wednesday.
