I am pretty sore from Friday’s ME squats. I did some speed work because I don’t feel completely recovered from Friday’s workout. I need to find a way to rotate my ME squats and deads. I find that 2 days and a few hours is not enough recovery time when I go between 90- 95% 1rm (with decent volume) on Friday’s squats and then try ME deads on Monday. I am thinking of alternating between ME squats and then heavy front squats and OHS on Fridays, and ME deads and either platform deads or speed work (thanks to Misses for the suggestion). Does anyone else have a similar problem or does anyone else have any suggestions? --Thanks for the help--

Have you tried the standard template from Westside? It pretty much takes care of your programming. Or even WS4SB, and do speed lifts and unilateral lifts on the second lower body day.

no - I am an S&P newbie, but I guess I am not a novice lifter any more. I take it the program on the Westside site? And what is the WS4SB? (I assume WS means Westside and 4 means for, but what is SB?). Thanks, OP.

It's more like an introduction to the Westside style of lifting. I'm using it now in conjunction with the Coan Deadlift programme.
Check it out if you like, it's in the stickies under Joe DeFranco Westside for Skinny Bastards.

No. I just lift try to lift really hard three or four days a week. I have thought about starting BJJ or some type of grappling for fun. I wrestled back in high school, which was eons ago (I graduated from H.S. in 1992). What about yourself?
