Nice -- I'm glad others are going to do this w/ me.

Most of my workout today was uneventful as it relates to overhead squats. I did get PR's on one arm dumbell snatch and holds w/ 115 on the right and 110 on the left. I figure those probably make for a nice assistance excercise.

graedy, i've never posted in your training log, but i do read it. keep up the good work. you're an inspiration.

Thank you for the idea with the overheadsquats. Now i have something i can work on that will benefit me if i will ever be able to really train again. Its always good to enhance/expand/amplify (so many english words for one german word - which one would be the right one in this case?) ones skillrepertoire.

Your English is far greater than our German. You won't hear any corrections from me bro.

Snatch grip, 5 x 1 @ 95 lbs. This might take a while to build up. Hopefully the learning curve is rapido.

enhance = make better
expand = make bigger
amplify = make stronger

so... probably expand?

Back Day

Did Zercher's after regular deadlifts today w/ my OH squats in mind. I might practice them [OH squats] again tomorrow after my regular workout.

The inside of my legs are sore as f%$k today. Must be that wide, toes-pointing-out stance that I'm not used to.

try overhead squat lockouts and supports...and gradually increase the range of motion over time as your joints get used to supporting the load.

Did five or six sets today, just playing around. Kept it at 95 lbs. for sets of three and experimented w/ stance, depth and grip position. I felt a bit more comfortable today, but I clearly have a long way to go.

The big breasted Indian girl was there again today. I was mistaken, though -- she's not very hot at all. She's got a bit of a spare tire around her waist.

Today was squat day so i decided to hit up the overheads for my warm up/firdt exercise.

After a few sets with just the bar I decided that as i awnted to learn to do snatches I might as well combine the two so i did a set of snatches with 45lbs, then with 65 would snatch lift the bar and then perform an overhead squat before lowering the bar and resnatching it. Two sets of ten later I'm sweating like a pig and feel that I really managed to improve my overhead squats and learn the rudiments of snatches today.
