Got some News for you. One of the guys I'm familiar with here is this guy:

http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/f...FighterID=9596

And he actually owns and operates the Xyience Center here in Vegas. But, the Xyience sponsorship has since ended and his Gym will not have that name anymore. That said he has recently signed a UFC deal.

I told him about you and he gave me a bunch of his cards, so when you're ready you'll be able to go there. As well ass Couture's place as one of the guys who trains with us at Top Rank trains there, too.

Per chance yesterday this dude Juanito came into our store. He's the trainer/Manager of Rampage. Turns out Cyrogel sponsors Rampage and some other of their camp, and since I know Mike from Cryogel, he told Juanito about me. Before he left he said "hey mijo, if there's anything you need give me a call."

Now you know they run the Camp over in Big Bear, which actually isn't too far from here. So, push comes to shove I could also probably arrange for you to go out there and train with Rampage and them.

Here's their sites:

www.allrampage.com
www.juanitoforfighters.com

Nice guy, funny. And he used to be a Boxing trainer primarily.

Today I actually feel somewhat recovered. I have been feeling very weak and tired this whole weak. Could be I was catching a cold/flu (since the wife and kids all had it) or the increased training with more rolling and sparring then what I was previously used to or a combination of the training and a sickness. It has been a bit brutal. I have lots of sore joints, body was not recovering well, and was really starting to wonder if something was wrong with me... I will keep at it and see how well I adapt to this increased training under live conditions. My road work has suffered. I still got some light jogs in here or there but they were not really worth mentioning in my log, they were only warmups and to aid in recovery. I was unable and unwilling to add the longer runs in this past week and a half due to trying to save as much energy for the new classes (especially since they were watching me close to see if they think I am ready for them to set me up a fight in the near future), but next week I hopefully will be a little better aquanted with the new school and with the increased work and begin adding more of my "homework" in.

Sounds like that week I had the Flu. I trained the day I KNEW I was sick, and pretty hard. In retrospect that was stupid of me as it onset the Flu faster. But eh well, I'm alive now.

Keep up the good work Bro. You'll be around these parts in no time.

Tuesday Feb 5th
No gi
warm up
pushup situp circuit
x gaurd sweeps (boy do i need work here. was lost half the way thru but with help starting picking things up right before the roll started)
30min roll (went up against a really strong BJJ player and got schooled, was fun especially when I thought I had an armbar on him or when I thought I had side control and both times the control changed hands rather easily and quickly)
stretch
1 mile run after class

Wednesday Feb 6th
7pm
gi class
warm up run
stretch
static holds 1.5 min - 2 min rounds (pushup position, squat, bear hug carry of partner, hold gaurd on standing partner)
continue x gaurd sweep work (felt better this night and seem to be getting this ingrained easier)
30min roll (had a decent run of luck and pulled off some good control on some guys but still feel lost in a lot of areas. Still, I am improving and that is what counts)
approx 8:45pm
Kickboxing
1 rd shadow boxing
push ups and sit ups
1 rd kicks to the body shield
1 rd leg kicks to body shield
1 rd kicks every damn where...
3 rds mit work (single shots and 1 2's mostly)
1 rd heavy bag
1 rd defense drill
1 rd jab (hold a mit between rib cage and right elbow to make sure you keep ur guard up while jabbing)
3 rds mit work (combos. let me see if I can remember the main combo: jab, block the counter left hook to the head, and return left hook, cross, block the counter right hook to the body, return right upper cut, left hook, right straight... then a bunch of "freestyle" while working in reaction drills similar to the main combo- he left hooks I block then I return hook cross, he right hooks body I block and return upper cut, hook, cross and so on)
a lot of work tonite prob forgot something...
stretch
get the hell home its late!

Friday Feb 8th
7pm
MMA
warm up ring jacks etc
stretch
1 rd shadow box
1 rd pummeling
1 rd takedowns
1 rd combo vs combo sparring (start: one guy with combo then he returns one etc.)
1 rd mma sparring (no kicks)
then we each took a turn at several four minute rounds with a fresh opponent every minute
I was last to go and got a lot of work as the "fresh" opponent for the others several times. I did faily well though I feel I need better "boxing" defense got hit too much in my last rounds of work. I am proud that I displalyed some autopuch ability which helped when I got rocked by one individual, and I hurt him back in that flurry. I felt good my takedown defense is improving drastically and I had some cool sprawls escapes and reversals because of that. but again I really gotta work on defense and head movement. the last round was a memorable battle between myself and a brawler which kinda looked like a morales vs anyother tough mexican match (well not as pretty but there was a lot of forehead to forehead brawling lol).
