Wednesday April 24th 2008
12 noon
weights grip strength and pulling strength (heavy weights pulled or held for as long as freakin possible) approx 45min
tuesday and this days workout left me with very little appetite: still got the food in: beef/chicken/eggs/orfish, spinach, natty peanut butter 4-5 times a day is fuckin' brutal sometimes especially after gut wrenching nasuea filled workouts that sap your appetite anyway!
20min stretch

7pm-9pm work at GNC spent whole time gripping stuff/dropping shit and using those kettle bell weights for grip and forearm work LOL! mix in a few sporatic rounds of shadow boxing or salsa dancing for footwork!!! and u are officially off your rocker!
tired today even though I did less than other days... must be the two jobs.

Actually felt shitty that I did not get in the boxing work or kickboxing or even the damn run! Thursday gonna have to make up for it all!

Thursday April 25th 2008
12 noon
did some Recovery cardio
45min elliptical machine and stationary bike
used the highest resistance setting 5min on and then light resistance for 5min and repeat till finished.
10min stretch
6:30 pm
Boxing
2 rds shadow boxing
3 rds hit the wall
3 rds hold mits for partner (worked combos and end with knee)
3 rds mit work (1st rd 1 2's and basic combos concentrating on getting full reach and snap, 2nd rd free style and constant movement, 3 rd back to basics)
kick bat work 2 rds high kicks, 1 rd defense
1 rd speed bag
1 rd jumpin jacks
1.5 mile run

Friday April 26th
12 noon
weight work goal to build heavy and durable arms- wanted to go to exhaustion with the weights to build better stamina for "keepin' the hands up" and for "throwing bombs" for the whole fight most reps were high but some were at the 12-15 rep range, but went all the way to 30-40 at times.
7pm
BJJ
circuit cali stuff like pushups, situps, and then frog jumps, running, leap frog, etc.
got into the lesson: omoplata work
and the most important part: rolled 7min rounds I can only guess how many rounds... I think 6. Did really well considering all the f#cked congestion I had (more on this later).
mental notes from this day: I came outta class feeling dead but still felt like a machine cause of all the work I put in! I am really glad I pushed myself this week with everything: diet, cardio, skill work, strength etc. Next week gonna have to push even more!

Saturday April 27th
noon
weights goal was for shoulder stregth and stamina. had to go really light as my shoulders were ate up, seemingly from rolling in BJJ class last night. Still I think it helped to get the blood going into them and get em moving.

2pm
1.5mile run
2 rds heavy bag
2 rds mit work (just basic combos)
1 rd shadow box
2 rds light sparring
2 rds defense work sparring

felt mean today just in a bad mood... did ok on light sparring: got good work and gave it too. this was very decieving cause I thought I had good footwork and defense and returns etc yet in the next 2 rds that were all defense on my part and the shots were thrown more heavily it all went to crap and all I wanted to do was swing back cause I was upset about getting hit LOL. I felt really akward in defense mode. I need more of this to get used to it...
1 rd full to the body and light to the head sparring
felt a little better here: I don't like not being able to throw back LOL... but still my defense just need to get better.

More on the congestion: went to the clinic on Sunday. The lady says I have had bronchitis all this time. Well I new the shit was annoying and that it kept my breathing difficult and all but damn I had no Idea it might be more then just an annoyance or weakness that needed to be beat outa me! Now I got a friggin albuterol inhaler, bezene or whatever prescription cough pills, amoxicillin antibiotic, and some prescription strength Mucinex! Plus orders from the doc to stop trainning/workingout. I know that I should not do something that will make this worse but somehow I feel that the training might help all this shit push out the crap in my lungs. I am gonna continue as planned and pay close attention to how I feel. If it gets worse or I run out of these meds before it's gone I will have to take a break... I really get aggravated at that thought.

Monday April 28th
12noon
weights goal explosive pushing strength (pressing and pushups were the focus) had some difficulty due to my shoulder and these meds seem to make me feel sluggish.
Still I got thru it and had some good motivation from my friend who yelled profanities at me LOL.
ab/core strength goal durable flexible and strong core able to withstand the punches and kick and keep me upright and in stance for the fight no matter how war like it becomes!
just beat and dead from that little bit!
no running or Boxing or BJJ today!
did play ball with my daughter and chased her for a while, so got some wind sprints in LOL she's fast!

Well today I was supposed to hit the weights at noon... but I feel pretty damn crazy so I'm gonna avoid trying to do my explosive legs workout. gonna try to put some skill work in later and go to BJJ as well. appetite is shot too though so I am not sure if I am gonna train at all if I don't get the right food in me I don't wanna tear myself down without the nutrients to build me back!
